PhD in Higher Education from the Leiden University, Netherlands. Currently serves as Assistant Professor (Regular Career) at the Centre for Comparative Education Policy (CPCE) of the Faculty of Education at Diego Portales University in Chile. Directs the Master's programme in Higher Education Institution Management. He is also the Principal Investigator of FONDECYT Initiation Project No. 11240460 (2024-2027): Changes in academic management in Chile: Analysis of the participation of professional administrators and its effects on the academic profession. He is a member of the UNESCO Chair in Comparative Higher Education Systems and Policies, directed by Dr. José Joaquin Brunner. He has held senior management positions in Chilean universities, specialising in both academia and administration. He has also worked as a consultant, advising the boards of directors and rectors of Chilean and Latin American universities on governance and institutional management matters.
